Design of Endcap Disc DIRC Detector for Particle Identification in PANDA
The talk was about the design of the Endcap Disc DIRC (EDD) detector in PANDA at FAIR that is used for particle identification. The DIRC concept was simply mentioned to give an idea to the attendees. The design of the EDD (dodecagon shape) was explained with optical elements and the readout system. The talk was finished by pointing out that the EDD as a key component of PANDA detector.
